What the TrolMaster CDA-1 Watches and What It Switches
Thirteen zones from one box is the headline figure. Each alarm channel supports up to thirteen sensors, and the controller drives as many as forty controlled outputs. Two thresholds sit behind that. The low alarm is set around five thousand parts per million, which is where most occupational exposure limits for carbon dioxide are drawn. The high alarm runs up to thirty thousand. Both are user adjustable, because the number a facility must alarm at is set by local regulation rather than by a manufacturer. Outputs do more than shout. The system switches ventilation fans and dampers, closes the main gas valve, and can pass a signal to a building fire or alarm panel. Automatic shut-off is achieved by wiring the facility solenoid in series with one of the control modules. A fault then removes the gas rather than merely announcing it. Every monitored room still needs its own audio and visual alarm head.
Alerts, High Level Limits and Practical Commissioning
The phone app is the headline feature and it is not the part that keeps anyone safe. Remote monitoring and push notifications are useful for a manager who is off site, and they arrive after the local alarm has already sounded. Treat them as a second layer. Get the local hardware right first. Decide the thresholds against the regulation that applies to the site rather than against a default, and write down what was set and why. Commission each zone by testing the sensor and watching the alarm head respond, not by trusting a screen. Power input runs from a hundred to two hundred and forty volts AC at fifty or sixty hertz. The controller works between thirty-two and a hundred and twenty-two Fahrenheit at humidity of ninety percent or less. The packed carton is 275 by 164 by 62 mm. In the box are the controller, two sixteen foot RJ12 cables and a twelve volt power adapter.
