What the TrolMaster DFM-2 Measures
This meter fits inline on a 1.25 in water or nutrient solution line. It measures flows from 0.26 to 31.70 GPM (1 to 120 L/min). Both the live flow rate and the running total appear on a 1 in LCD on the meter body. A 16 ft cable with an RJ12 plug carries the same data to the Aqua-X Pro. It connects to the controller directly or through an SPH-1 RJ12 splitter hub. Paired with the Aqua-X Pro Feed by Volume function, each irrigation cycle delivers a set volume of solution. The ends are NPT threaded, with two BSP-to-NPT adaptors fitted at the factory. It is rated to 250 psi line pressure and works from 32 to 122 °F. The packed meter weighs about 1.36 lb. Fitting a 1.25 Inch Flow Meter to an Irrigation Line
A 1.25 inch flow meter suits a main line feeding several benches or a room of drippers. Mount it after the pump and filter, ahead of the zone valves, so it reads everything the room receives. Line it up with the direction of flow and support the pipe on both sides. Wrap the NPT threads with PTFE tape and tighten carefully to avoid cracking fittings. Place it where the LCD is easy to read during walk-throughs. Route the RJ12 cable along the wall to the Aqua-X Pro or an SPH-1 hub. Set a target volume for each zone, then check the first totals against a measured container. Rising totals on an unchanged program can flag a leak or a burst line. Falling totals usually mean a filter or emitters need cleaning. Flush new pipework before fitting, so debris does not lodge in the meter. Run this way, it keeps every zone on the same dose from crop to crop.
