AC Infinity SUNCORE A1 Heat Strip for a Row of Pots

At 3 x 20 in, this is a slim strip rather than a full tray mat. It fits along a narrow shelf, on a kitchen counter or down the middle of a small propagation box. A line of small pots, a strip of plugs or a few jars sits on top in a single row. The heat comes from far-infrared film laminated inside quad-layer PVC. That film spreads warmth along the whole strip, with no wire coils to leave hot lines. Once plugged in, it brings the media to between 80 and 87°F, up to 20°F above the surrounding air. There is no switch or dial, so the strip heats whenever it is plugged in. Its draw tops out at 6.5 W on a standard 100-125V AC outlet. A 60-inch cord exits through a sealed connection. The seams are sealed too, earning an IP-67 rating against water and dust. A wet pot base or a spill from the watering can does no harm. The surface wipes clean, and the strip rolls up small. A water-resistant nylon drawstring bag is included for storage. The strip carries UL file E518635 and MET file E115128, plus a two-year warranty from AC Infinity.

Set it on a flat, level surface and keep it fully unrolled, never doubled over. Center each pot over the strip so the base sits fully on the warm surface. Sow two or three seeds in each pot to cover any that fail. Cover the row with a clear dome or plastic wrap to hold in humidity. Vent the cover once the first leaves appear, propping it up about an inch. Lift pots off the heat once roughly half of them have sprouted. Check moisture daily, since a small pot over bottom heat dries out fast. A plug-in timer is a simple way to cut the heat overnight in a warm room. In a cold space, the strip can run around the clock through germination. Keep it indoors, away from foot traffic and standing water on the floor.
