Running a Quiet Inline Fan on a Controller

Hang it from structure with straps or brackets rated for its weight. Put the carbon filter on the inlet side and duct the outlet to the exhaust point. Clamp both collars and seal every joint with foil tape. Wire a compatible control source, such as the Ruck MTP 21 or a climate controller, to the control input. Run it near full speed while the lights are on. Ease it back overnight, when the room needs less air. Turning it down cuts noise and power draw together. Add a silencer on the outlet if the duct ends near people. A backdraft damper stops cold air drifting back when the fan slows. Disconnect power before cleaning, then wipe dust from the impeller between crops.
