This Ruck protection grille guards a 12-inch round duct end or fan collar. It is made from galvanized wire and clips into the opening with tabs. Fitting and Cleaning a Duct Fan Guard

Twelve-inch fans move large volumes of air in grow rooms, greenhouses and commercial spaces. At that airflow, an open inlet can draw in loose debris quickly. Fit the grille on any open fan inlet or duct end within reach of people or pests. On an exterior outlet, it keeps nesting animals out of the duct. Press the tabs into the collar until the grille sits flat. Lift it out by hand when it needs cleaning. Vacuum or brush the wire, or rinse it and let it dry. Inspect it during routine fan and filter maintenance. Fine dust still passes through, so use an intake filter where incoming air needs cleaning. Refit the grille firmly before restarting the fan. In a greenhouse, it also stops plant debris and netting from being drawn into an open intake. Keeping a spare grille means one can stay fitted while the other is being cleaned.
