The Alchemist 420 is the large-scale trichome extractor in the GreenBroz line, built for commercial trim volumes. Its drum holds 8 cu ft, enough for 8 to 10 lbs of trim at a time depending on density. The drum turns at 20 RPM, gently tumbling trim so trichome heads break away and fall through the screens. Four 180 micron screens come standard, and finer optional screens are available for cleaner grades. Four extra-large stainless steel collection areas catch the resin below the drum. Running a Commercial Dry Sift Tumbler in Batches

Freeze trim overnight in sealed bags so it goes into the drum cold and brittle. For trim at room temperature, add crushed dry ice in pieces of about half an inch or smaller. Larger or sharp-edged chunks can puncture the screens. Wear insulated gloves around dry ice and keep the room ventilated during the run. Load the drum loosely so the trim can roll rather than pack against itself. Set the timer for a short first pass and check the collection areas. That first pull carries the cleanest heads. Run a second, longer pass if you want to push total yield higher. Keep passes separate so each grade can be weighed, pressed or packaged on its own. Swap in finer screens when the goal is a more refined product with less plant matter. Scrape the collection areas while the kief is still cold and dry. Clean the screens and panels between strains so one batch never mixes into the next.
