DAB EUROINOX 50/506 M for High-Head Water Boosting

The EUROINOX 50/506 M tops DAB's EUROINOX 506 range for head among its three sizes. Its 1.36 HP (1 kW) motor runs on 115/230V, 60 Hz single phase. Current draw is about 14.6 A on 115V and 7.4 A on 230V. An 80 µF capacitor is built in, together with thermal and current overload protection. Maximum head reaches about 236 ft at zero flow. Suction and delivery are both 1 in NPT. The pump body is stainless steel, and the rotors, diffusers and diffuser bodies are technopolymer. AISI 304 stainless makes up the shaft and seal holder, with a carbon and ceramic mechanical seal. The motor support is die-cast aluminum with stainless adjustment rings. The motor carries IP44 protection and an IP55 terminal board, with Class F insulation. It measures about 18 in long and weighs roughly 33.3 lb.

When a Stainless Steel Booster Pump Needs Extra Head

Pick this size when water has to travel a long way, climb to an upper level or push through a filter and injector train. It keeps more pressure in reserve than the smaller EUROINOX models, so the last outlet on a line still performs. A pressure switch and tank, or an electronic controller, turns it into an automatic on-demand system. The same pump is also offered paired with a MASCONTROL controller as a ready-to-run package. Mount it horizontally on a solid base, either fixed or as a portable unit. Prime the pump before the first start and keep all suction joints airtight. A foot valve with a strainer at the intake keeps prime and screens debris. Choose hoses and fittings rated for operating pressure up to 116 psi. Water should be clean and non-aggressive, between 32 and 95°F for domestic use. Ambient air around the motor should stay at or below 104°F.
