Char Coir Cloud Coir 50/50 Coco Perlite Blend
Cloud Coir mixes equal parts coco coir and perlite into a loose, ready-to-plant medium. Half the volume is coir to hold water and nutrients, and half is perlite to keep air in the root zone. That ratio drains quickly and refills with oxygen after every irrigation, which suits frequent small feeds. Char Coir triple-washes the coir to strip out salts, then buffers it so the pH settles at 6.0 to 6.5. EC comes out of the bag under 0.6, so your nutrient solution starts from a clean baseline. The blend carries RHP certification, the Dutch horticultural standard for substrate quality and consistency. Coir also brings a high cation exchange capacity, holding nutrients near the roots between irrigations. Each bag holds 50 L (1.75 cu ft) of loose fill, so there are no bricks to soak or break apart. A pallet carries 80 bags, about 4,000 L of medium for a room, a run of tables or a greenhouse range. Growers use it for transplants into pots, fabric containers and raised beds. It works in drip-fed hydro and in hand-watered containers alike.
Growing in a Coco Perlite Mix
Fill containers loosely and let the first irrigation settle the medium rather than packing it down by hand. Water through until you see runoff, so the whole profile wets evenly from top to bottom. With this much perlite, the mix dries back faster than straight coir. Plan on smaller, more frequent irrigations instead of a heavy soak every few days. Check runoff EC and pH regularly, since coco responds quickly to changes in your feed. Keep the feed pH in the range that suits coco and adjust if runoff drifts. Larger containers hold more reserve between feeds, which helps on hot days or when irrigation is less frequent. On a pallet this size, stage bags close to the room and open them as you fill, so the medium stays clean. Store unopened bags out of direct sun and off a wet floor. Spent medium can be composted or worked into outdoor beds after the run. The SDS for Char Coir coco coir is attached for your facility records.
