Bluelab Guardian Monitor Wi-Fi for Reservoir pH, EC and Temp
Three numbers decide whether a hydroponic reservoir is healthy, and this monitor shows all of them at a glance. The Guardian Monitor Wi-Fi, product code BGUSTD02, mounts on the wall and drops its probes straight into the nutrient tank. pH reads from 0.0 to 14.0 with ±0.1 accuracy through a replaceable double-junction probe on a BNC connector. Conductivity runs from 0.0 to 5.0 EC, or up to 3,500 ppm on the 700 scale, using a combined conductivity and temperature probe. Temperature covers 32°F to 122°F within ±2°F and drives automatic temperature compensation. Both probe cables are 2 m (6.6 ft) long, so the display can sit on a dry wall away from splashes. Power comes from a 100–240 VAC supply with a 5 VDC output and plugs for four regions. The built-in Wi-Fi runs on 2.4 GHz 802.11 b/g/n. It can be switched off completely for an offline setup. Settings are stored in non-volatile memory and survive a power cut.
Edenic App Alerts and Daily Use
Pair the monitor with the Edenic app and it pushes alarm alerts the moment a reading crosses your limits. History graphs show how a tank drifts between top-ups, which makes it easier to time water changes and nutrient additions. Set the high and low alarms around your target for each stage, then tighten them as the crop settles. The display uses plant-safe green LEDs with adjustable brightness, so it can stay lit during the dark period. Hang the pH probe in the included holder with its suction cup, keeping the tip submerged and away from the pump outlet. Keep the conductivity probe in the same solution as the pH probe, or temperature compensation will not apply. pH calibration uses two points, either 7.0 and 4.0 or 7.0 and 10.0, and sachets for the first run come in the box. Conductivity and temperature need no calibration. The honest limit is the pH probe itself, which wears out and needs replacing on a regular cycle. Store it in KCl whenever the reservoir is drained. The monitor carries a two-year warranty.
