Bluelab Guardian Monitor Inline Wi-Fi on the Feed Line
Reservoir readings tell you what was mixed, while an inline monitor tells you what is actually reaching the plants. The Guardian Monitor Inline Wi-Fi, product code BGUNLN02, is Bluelab's wall-mounted monitor built to read straight from a pressurized line. Its probes handle up to 100 psi (7 bar), so they can sit after a pump, a filter or a fertilizer injector. Probe fittings suit 1 in NPT, and the pH probe's 3/4 in thread steps up through the included adapter. pH reads from 0.0 to 14.0 with ±0.1 accuracy. Conductivity covers 0.0 to 5.0 EC, which the display can also show as CF, ppm 500 or ppm 700 up to 3,500 ppm. Temperature reads from 32°F to 122°F within ±2°F, and it feeds automatic temperature compensation. High and low alarms can be set for all three readings. Power comes from a 100–240 VAC supply with a 5 VDC output and plugs for North America, Europe, the UK and Australia. Built-in 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi links the unit to the Edenic app, or it can be switched off for offline use.
Continuous Monitoring Where the Water Really Goes
Most growers plumb it on the main feed line just after the injector, where a mixing fault shows up before it hits the media. The pH probe mounts in any direction, so it fits tight manifolds and vertical risers. Mount the monitor itself on a dry wall nearby and keep the cables tidy and away from drip lines. The display uses plant-safe green LEDs with adjustable brightness, so it can stay on through lights-off. Edenic sends alarm alerts, logs history and shows trends across a run or a full crop. Settings live in non-volatile memory and survive a power cut. Calibrate the pH probe with the two-point pH 7.0 and 4.0 solutions in the box, and expect to repeat it regularly. Conductivity and temperature need no calibration at all. Before draining the line for any length of time, refit the storage cap with KCl so the pH probe never dries out. The honest limit is that the pH probe is a consumable with a shorter warranty than the monitor. Budget for a replacement probe each year or so in a busy system. The monitor itself carries a two-year warranty.
Key Features
- Rated to 100 psi: The inline probes read directly from pressurized feed lines, so nothing needs to divert into a sample cup.
- pH, EC and Temperature Together: All three readings show on one display, with EC also available as CF, ppm 500 or ppm 700.
- 1 in NPT Fittings: Probes thread into standard fittings, and the included adapter steps the pH probe up from 3/4 in.
- Edenic App Alerts: Wi-Fi links the monitor to Edenic for alarm notifications, remote viewing and history graphs.
- Adjustable Alarms: High and low limits for pH, conductivity and temperature catch drift before it reaches the plants.
- Plant-Safe Display: Green LEDs with adjustable brightness stay readable without disturbing the dark period.
- Replaceable pH Probe: The double-junction inline pH probe with BNC connection swaps out when it wears.
