Growing in Coco Under the HLG 100 V2 4000K

Coco holds water like soil but feeds like hydro, so plants drink often at a lighter nutrient strength. Once roots fill a fabric pot, daily watering is common, and late flower can call for more. Water until some runoff drains from the base, then check its pH with the included kit. Coco also binds calcium and magnesium, so most growers add a cal-mag supplement to every feed. Rinse and buffer the coco before the first transplant if the bag is not labeled pre-buffered. HLG positions the 4000K version mainly for vegetative growth, with a cool white spectrum that suits leafy plants. It still carries a flowering rating, so a single plant can run from seedling to harvest under one board. Train that plant low and wide so the canopy stays inside the rated footprint. Keep at least 15 inches between the fixture and the roof it hangs from, or aim a small fan at the driver. Heat is the real limit in a room this small, so start the exhaust before the seedling goes in. The timer and meter make it easy to spot a warm lights-on period before the plants show stress.
