Gro Pro Heavy Duty Black Saucer Sizes From 6 to 25 in

These are rigid black plastic saucers built for repeated use under containers. Runoff has to go somewhere, and a thin garden-center tray tends to crack or flex the first time you drag a full pot across it. Nine diameters cover the range, from a 6 in top diameter at the small end to 25 in at the large end. Measure across the base of your pot, not the rim, then choose a saucer whose floor is wider than that base. The floor is smaller than the top on every size, so the top diameter alone can mislead you. On the 12 in, for instance, the floor measures 10.75 in. The 16 in steps down to a 14.75 in floor. The largest size has a 22.5 in floor and tall sides of about 3.5 in, which holds far more water than a shallow rim. Weight climbs from about 0.1 lb to 2.7 lb, and that extra plastic lets the big sizes hold their shape.

Plastic Plant Saucers Under Pots and Fabric Bags

Set one under each container in a room with no floor drain and the runoff stays where you can see it. That matters when you want to catch a sample for a runoff EC or pH reading. Pull the water off after feeding. A pot resting in standing runoff can wick salts back up and keep the root zone wet. A wet vac or a small pump makes short work of a full row of the larger sizes. Black plastic also blocks light from the water, which slows algae compared to a clear tray. Fabric pots are the common pairing, since they weep through the sidewall as well as the base. Between cycles, scrub them with your usual sanitizer, rinse, and stack them. Nesting keeps a season's worth of saucers in a small footprint. They add a little height under a pot, so check clearance if you run a tight trellis or fixed drip stakes. A saucer does not replace a proper drain plan in a large room, though it covers a small one well.

Key Features

  • Nine diameters: The range runs from small starter pots up to large fabric containers.
  • Rigid black plastic: The heavy wall holds its shape under a wet container and through repeated moves.
  • Tall sides on large sizes: The biggest saucers hold more runoff before anything spills onto the floor.
  • Washable and reusable: Scrub, rinse and return them to service across multiple crop cycles.
  • Light-blocking color: Black plastic keeps light off standing runoff, which slows algae.
  • Nesting stack: Saucers stack inside each other, so storage between runs takes little room.
