Gorilla Grow Tent 2' Extension Kit for More Headroom
Every Gorilla Grow Tent Pro stands 7 ft out of the box and ships with a 1 ft extension. This kit adds another 24 inches on top of that. Used on its own it takes a Pro tent to 9 ft, and stacked with the included 1 ft kit it reaches 10 ft. Inside the box are extension poles that slot into the existing frame and a fabric skirt that closes the gap. The skirt is lined like the tent walls and zips to the tent body at the bottom and to the roof at the top. Each kit is cut for one tent footprint, from the 2 x 2.5 ft model up to the 9 x 9 ft Pro. The fabric does not stretch, so the kit size has to match the tent size exactly. Heat rises, and that is the practical reason to raise the roof. With more distance between the light and the canopy, hot air pools higher and the plants sit in a steadier temperature band. A taller tent also leaves room for a grow bench, so plants sit at working height for inspection and pruning. Photoperiod plants that stretch hard in early flower gain the most, along with tall vegetables and vertical trellis setups.
How This Grow Tent Extension Kit Goes On
Setup takes the roof off for a few minutes rather than taking the whole tent apart. Lift the top frame, slot the extension poles into the existing uprights, and set the roof back on at the new height. Then zip the skirt to the tent body around the pole sleeves and zip its top edge to the roof. On anything wider than a five-by-five, a second person makes the lift far easier. Raise the light hangers and ducting to the new roof line before the next lights-on. The extra column of air also gives an inline fan more room to pull warm air off the top of the tent. This kit is made for Gorilla Grow Tent Pro models. It does not fit the LITE LINE tents. Pick the size that matches the tent footprint, since a skirt cut for one size will not zip onto another. Growers already running the included one-foot kit can stack both for the full extra three feet. A taller room does mean more volume to heat, cool and dehumidify. Check that the exhaust and climate gear still have headroom once the tent grows into a tall grow tent.
Key Features
- Two Feet of Added Height: Raises a Gorilla Grow Tent Pro to nine feet, or ten feet stacked with the included one-foot kit.
- Poles and Zip-On Skirt: Extension poles slot into the existing frame while a lined fabric skirt zips between the tent body and roof.
- Sized per Tent Footprint: Nine versions match the 2x2.5, 2x4, 3x3, 4x4, 5x5, 4x8, 5x9, 8x8 and 9x9 Pro tents.
- Better Heat Separation: The extra height lets hot air rise away from the canopy toward the exhaust.
- Room for Benches and Trellis: Space for a grow table or vertical trellis keeps plants at a comfortable working height.
